Eleanor Acrin, 87, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grand-mother, peacefully passed away at home in Ormond Beach on March 19, 2011. Eleanor was employed by the UpJohn Company during World War II in Kalamazoo, Michigan. After moving to New Smyrna Beach in 1956, she was a secretary for several years with Bouchelle Realty, then was employed as a secretary for a prominent local physician, James Cunningham, for over 20 years until her retirement. She is predeceased by her parents, Lubbartus and Marguerite Lingbeek of Kalamazoo, Michigan; sister, Frances of Brunswick, Georgia; brother, John of Little Rock, Arkansas; husbands, Fred C. Payne of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and Robert Wilson of New Smyrna Beach, Florida. She is survived by her husband Fred F. Acrin; son, Kenneth Payne of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; daughter, Charlene and her husband, Michael Strother of Edgewater; daughter, Beverly and her husband, Peter Schaafsma of Edgewater; seven grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren.
