Frank Larsen, 87, of Port Orange, Florida passed away peacefully on January 25, 2013 at the Hospice Care Center, Port Orange. A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 3:00 pm at the Hope Lutheran Church, 594 N. Williamson Blvd., Daytona Beach, Florida 32114. Frank was born November 26, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY and was raised in Norway, and returned to the U.S. at the age of 19 years old. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 120 in Garden City Park, NY. In 1988 he retired as an civilian employee of the NCPD and moved to Port Orange, FL. He and his wife Marilyn enjoyed traveling, and were former members of the P.O.R.T. Club. He was a brave man who fought a long hard battle to the end and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Frank is survived by his beloved wife Marylin of 56 years; loving and devoted father of Nancy (Carl); and son Bruce (Amanda); and two grandchildren, Dylan and Molly. Memorial gifts in Frank's name may be made to the Hope Lutheran Church or to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia / Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange FL 32129.
