George W. Boyer IV, 87, of Port Orange, Florida passed peacefully on April 19, 2013 at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center of Daytona Beach. He was born on July 25, 1925 to George W. Boyer III and Lillian Morris Boyer of Philadelphia, PA. George proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. He enjoyed a wonderful career as a professional truck driver for most of his life, and was a devout parishioner of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church of Port Orange. He is preceded in spirit by his beloved wife of 56 years, Frances Ginder Boyer; and his granddaughter, Mary Frances Harford. He is survived by his dear sister, Gloria Boyer Lingg; his two devoted sons; George W. Boyer V and Robert James Boyer; and his daughter, Cathrine Grace Boyer. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great- granddaughters. Catholic masses and donations may be requested in celebration of George's life to Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church by his family and friends who will miss him greatly.
