A Memorial Service for Geraldine Dunlop King, 72, who went to sleep in death Friday, March 15, 2013 will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 30 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3501 S. Clyde Morris Blvd, Port Orange, officiated by Thomas Weller. Gerrie was born in Woonsocket, RI on June 26, 1940 to the late Winslow and Dorothy Dunlop. She moved to Daytona Beach in 1967 and married Owen King (Deceased) at the New Smyrna Yacht Club. Gerrie was a very talented woman. She enjoyed doing many different things, most importantly teaching others about Jehovah God and his son Jesus Christ. She was a member of the Port Orange Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was able to work in the condominium management business with her husband Owen. They were Charter Members of the Halifax Cruise Club for many years. She worked part time at the Law offices of (Polsky) Vasilaros & Politis Law firms. She enjoyed teaching English to her students at Palm Private School. In her later years she worked at Pelican Bay Country Club for over 12 years. Gerrie also loved to travel - especially on cruises- which lead her to open her own travel business, where she was able to visit many different countries and islands throughout the earth to meet her spiritual Brothers and Sisters. Gerrie is survived by her beautiful daughter Georgina, and son-in-law Kevin Marshall, Orlando, FL; her spiritually adopted son and daughter-in-law Robert and Chryl Duffy, Nigeria, Africa; her many nieces and nephews who all have a story to tell about "Aunt Gerrie"; and her very best friends David and Marylee Pine, Frank and Kathy Wines and all of her wonderful loving Brothers and Sisters at the Port Orange Congregation with whom she's enjoyed associating with for many years.
