Funeral service for Henry "Hank" Klotzsche, age 89, of New Smyrna Beach, who died Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia /Flagler's Edgewater Care Center, will be 12:00 noon Friday, July 5, 2013 at Settle-Wilder's New Smyrna Beach chapel, with Chaplain Mark Rath, officiating. Burial will follow at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens in Edgewater. Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Born in Ridgewood, New York, Hank, a tool and die maker, moved from New York to Ft. Lauderdale in 1967, then to this area in 1990. He served in the United States Army during World War II, and was a member of the Edgewater Elks and the New Smyrna Beach VFW. Hank loved fishing and boating, animals, plants, especially orchids, and cooking. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Honora "Marie"; two daughters, Dale (Joe) Paternoster of New Smyrna Beach, and Meg (John) Misinec of Branford, Florida; one son, Glenn Klotzsche of Ft. White, Florida; two sisters, Charlotte Brown of Babylon, New York, and Ella Realy of Port Charlotte, Florida; five grandchildren, Kurt Klotzsche, Beth (Greg) Paternoster-Norris, Derek (Heather) Paternoster, Sean (Heather) Misinec, and Erin Misinec; one great-grandchild, Turk Klotzsche; and many lifelong friends. Memorial donations in Hank's name may be made to Southeast Volusia Humane Society, 1200 S. Glencoe Road, New Smyrna Beach, Florida 32168.
