John A. (Jack) Kline, formerly of Plattsburgh, NY passed away Jan. 14, 2013 at the Hospice Care Center in Port Orange, FL. He was born January 31, 1930 in Long Island, New York. After attending Champlain College in Plattsburgh New York, he continued to reside there. He worked for Clinton County as a Civil Service clerk for 30 years until his retirement. He was an avid golfer, despite his spinal handicap and was a long time member of Bluff Point Golf Club in Plattsburgh. After retirement he moved to Daytona Beach, Florida where he continued playing golf as a member of the Daytona Beach Golf Club. He was a third degree life member of the Plattsburgh Knights of Columbus Council #255. He will be missed by his many friends in Plattsburgh and Daytona Beach. A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, on Wednesday, January 23, at 8:30 AM, which is located at 4675 S. Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange, Florida 32129. His burial will follow at Shady Rest Cemetery in Holly Hill, FL. Shannon Maloney Funeral Home is in charge. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the Knights of Columbus Charities, Council #255, 14 Cornelia St., Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
