John "Jack" M. Peterson, 84, of Ormond Beach, passed away April 2, 2013. A Memorial Service in his honor will be held today (Saturday, April 6, 2013) from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. Jack was born in Newark, NJ and spent his childhood between New Jersey and rural Georgia. Jack proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. Jack returned to New Jersey where he worked as a supervisor of steamfitters in the heating and air conditioning industry. Jack and his wife Jane retired to Florida in 1993. He loved the golfing lifestyle at Plantation Bay in Florida. His passion in life was his family; he adored his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jack will be sadly missed by his wife of 42 years, Jane Peterson; by his children, grandchildren, his great-grandchildren, his sisters, his nieces, nephews and many friends. He is predeceased by his parents John and Freida Peterson and by his first wife June Peterson.
