Funeral Services for Mr. Marshall Adams, 66, Daytona Bch, who passed Sunday, March 24, 2013, will be 2 PM, Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Mt. Zion AME Church, with Rev. Rufus Boykins, Winter Springs, FL, delivering the main eulogy. Interment will take place at 11:30 AM, April 1, 2013 in Buzzard Roost Cemetery, Jacksonboro, SC. Calling hours are from 5 - 8:30 PM, Fri. (today, March 29) at RJ Gainous Funeral Home and from 12:30 PM until service time at the church on Sat. Mr. Adams was born in Jacksonboro, SC to the late George and Julia Adams. He was a 1965 graduate of Colleton High School. He went on to become a barber at Adams Barber Shop, Bronx, NY. In 1969 he was drafted into the United States Army, giving 1 year of service. He later moved to Daytona Bch where he worked as a concrete mason. Mr. Adams was also preceded in death by a brother: James Adams; a sister: Geraldine Wright; a brother-in-law: Arthur Wimberly. He leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted wife of 33 years: Theresa Adams; 6 children: Sharese Adams, Marshall J. Adams, Jr., Theria Campbell, Teia Campbell, Shirle' Adams, Tekeia Adams; 8 grandchildren: Terrion Campbell, Sharene Scott, T'rez Campbell, Deltarion Adams, Tahj Dukes, Zaria Adams, Jykeis McLean, Tiana Maddox; 3 great-grandchildren: Anasia Adams, Aeriel Weston, T'rez Campbell, Jr.; brothers: Joe Adams (Mattie), Daytona Bch, FL; George Adams, Jr. (Lou Ann), Waterboro, SC; sisters: Angela Ladson (Issac), Goose Creek, SC, Essie James, Jacksonboro, SC; 9 in-laws: Daniel Wright, Sr., Jacksonboro, SC, Johnny Hatten, Daytona Bch, FL, Malvern Stewart, Jacksonville, FL, Desarae Stewart, Donna Wimberly, both of Daytona Bch, FL, Wanda Roberts (Sherman), Wheatly Heights, NY, Mirriam Green (Warren), Eatonville, FL, Regina Floyd, Mark Floyd, both of Orlando, FL; 3 godchildren: James "Moochie" Bowman, Joseph "JC" Hollis, Andrea "Piggy" Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
