- A memorial service for Mary Lu Deem, 81, of Ormond Beach, who passed away April 8, 2013 will be held Friday at the Dale Woodward Funeral Home 167 Ridgewood Ave. Holly Hill at 4:00 pm. Mrs. Deem was a native and life long resident of the Daytona Beach area. She was a homemaker and had worked for A Floral Boutique for over 20 years. Mrs. Deem was an active volunteer in the Volusia County Schools and enjoyed camping and the Blue Ridge Mountains. She believed each child was a blessing from God and had a way of making each of her grandchildren feel they were her favorite. Time spent with family was cherished. She was predeceased by her husband, William and a daughter, Donna Bostic. Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Nikolakopoulos, Concord, NC; a son, Deryl Deem, Huntersville, NC; a brother, Dr. Charles Warner, Charlotte, NC; six grandchildren, Tammy Brown, Jennifer Morton, Brittany Bostic, Danielle Dagenhart,
