Myrtis C. Reynolds, 82 of DeLand passed away March 15, 2013 at Florida Hospital DeLand. She was born on July 28, 1930 in Helena, Georgia and came to the area from Georgia in 1935. Myrtis loved cooking, flowers, church music and working in her yard. She was a homemaker. Myrtis was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Elsie Rainey, brothers Paul and Archie Rainey and sisters Ernestine Tressler, Elsie Chavis, Vivian Stanley, Daisy Belkey and Nellie Allen. Survivors include her sons,Thurman (Stump) Reynolds of DeLand, and Tommy E. Reynolds of DeLand; daughter, Lory Steitz of DeLeon
Springs; sister, Mildred Miles of DeLand; five grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 19th from 6-8pm at Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home DeLand. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 20th at 11am at Allen-Summerhill Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at
