Paul J. Alonge, the last surviving child of a family of thirteen children, and loving son of Stefano and
Calogera Alonge, passed away to his eternal reward on Friday, November 4, 2011, at the age of 93. His wife Helen (nee Meyer) predeceased him in 2004. They had been happily married for over 61 years, enjoying a rich and fulfilling life together. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Alonge (Flynn); and sons Paul Jr. and Raymond; grandchildren, Paul J. Alonge, III, Kimberly Alonge and Michael J. Flynn III; and two great grandchildren, Alex Paul Alonge and Reece Paul Lieux. Paul was born and grew up in Brooklyn NY, living on Long Island in his later years before moving to New Hampshire. He was a Senior Contract Administrator for Sanders Associates, a major electronics firm in Nashua, New Hampshire. He retired from this position in 1984 and shortly thereafter moved to his home in Florida. Paul was a devoted and caring husband and father who instilled in his children a love of life, the capacity to live joyously, and a lifelong love of learning. As an avid golfer, bowler and skier; he pursued these passions with skill and persistence for many years. A service will be held at a date to be announced. As a Marine Veteran, he will be interred at Jacksonville, Florida Veterans Cemetery after the service. In lieu of flowers a donation in Paul's name may be made to the American Hearing Research Foundaton, 8 South Michigan Avenue, Suite 1205, Chicago, IL 60603.
