Ronald Michael Mazur, 78, of Ormond Beach, FL, died on January 17, 2013 during surgery at the University of Miami (FL) Hospital. Ron was born in South Boston, MA. He earned his A.B. from Boston University, M.Div. from Harvard University, and Ed.D. from The Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality. Ron served as minister of Unitarian Universalist congregations in Massachusetts and Florida; executive director of The Unitarian Christian Fellowship; chaplain at Salem State College; health educator, senior staff associate, and adjunct faculty member at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and Hampshire College; and sexuality educator, counselor, and consultant in private practice. His publications included five books and numerous articles, and he created several websites in his fields of interest. Ron will be remembered with love by his wife Sharon; his daughter MJ; his son Nathan; his sister Marianne, and with affection by his extended family, friends and colleagues. In the words of a favorite hymn, "Roots hold me close, wings set me free." At Ron's request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
