ROSEMARIE LITWAK

Rosemarie Litwak passed away peacefully on January 23, 2013 after suffering a stroke on January 16th. She was 84. She rejoins her beloved husband Marty in heaven and on earth, together forever in accordance with their wishes. Rosemarie was born as Rosemarie Helen Casmass in 1928 in Brooklyn, NY. She and Marty were married in 1947 and lived happily together for 63 years until his passing in 2011. Rosemarie is survived by her sister Loretta and brother-in-law Bob Frankie of Daytona Beach Shores, Florida; son Paul Litwak of Wilton, NY; daughter Roseanne and son-in-law Dan Sexton of Selden, NY; and daughter Beth and son-in-law Joe Germano of Saratoga Springs, NY. She was the loving grandmother of six grandchildren, Kasia, Michael, Mo, Danny, Isabelle and Olivia. She also leaves beloved nieces, nephews and cousins in the extended Casmass, Nigro, Litwak, and Sigelakis families. She was predeceased by her brother John Casmass. Rosemarie lived in New York City, Lynbrook, and Greenwood Lake, NY until 1991, when she and Marty moved to Palm Coast, Florida. They lived happily there and in Ormond Beach, Florida for 20 years and leave many wonderful friends in those communities. She moved to Saratoga Springs in 2011 and lived with Beth and Joe Germano and their children until her passing. Rosemarie enjoyed cooking, reading, old movies, and playing mahjong. Mostly she enjoyed the company of her family and her friends, to whom she was devoted. A memorial service will be held at the Presbyterian New England Congregational Church at 24 Circular Street in Saratoga Springs, NY at 1:30 PM on February 2, 2013 with a reception to follow at the Gideon Putnam Hotel. Interment will be at a later date at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
