Russell Cunningham

Russell Cunningham left his family and friends Monday, December 9, at 2:08 PM, to join his Father God in the eternal beyond. In the last few weeks of his life on this earth Russell was surrounded by family and friends. Russ was born into his loving family on October 3, 1969 in DeLand, FL. He was a graduate of DeLand High School, class of 1988 and from there he went on and served in the United States Marine Corps. Later, Russell followed a career in food service after graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, with a degree in culinary arts. He was a gifted chef who served as Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chef at restaurants in Wisconsin, Lehigh University, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. He owned the Artisan Bakery, Mack's Bread Barn in Deland, 2003-2005. Russell is survived by his wife Heather and daughters Mackenzie and Molly to whom he was devoted and who he loved beyond words. He is also survived by his mother and father Tom and Betty Cunningham, and his older sisters, Janet Cunningham-Gil and Patty Woolf. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 14 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Deland, FL. Refreshments and remembrances will follow in the fellowship hall.
