Sybil M. Foster, 91, passed away on June 20, 2013, after a period of declining health. Sybil was born in Downsville, Louisiana and was very active in her community there. She was a volunteer for the VA hospital in Shreveport, LA and taught classes at the "Head Start" pre-school program in Benton, Louisiana. When Sybil relocated to Port Orange many years ago, she loved to tend to the beautiful flowers in her yard and was known in her neighborhood for keeping her garden in pristine condition. She loved to read and travel, in particular to Alaska and to the western states, with her late companion Dencil. She is predeceased by her husband Norman Foster and her companion for over 30 years, Dencil. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Anne (Russell) Shuping, Amelia (Scott) Embley, and son, Curtis Foster. Sybil will also be remembered by her grandson, Larry Shuping, two great-grandchildren, and close family friends, Betty and Michael White. A special thanks to Blessings Home Health, especially Linda, Andrica, and Laronda for their wonderful care and support. Special thanks also to Natalie and the other Hospice nurses who helped Sybil so much in her final days. A memorial service is planned for the fall. Condolences can be shared with the family at
