William A. MacVay of Palm Coast died September 25, 2012 at the Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor, Maine. He was born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada on January 6, 1920, the son of William and Jean (Douglas) MacVay. He was predeceased by his wife, Marie. William (Bill) enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1938 and served in Canada, Alaska, and the Aleutian Islands until his discharge in 1946. Bill and his wife Marie moved to Palm Coast after he retired as Vice President of Consolidated Newsprint, Inc. Bill was an avid golfer, enjoyed private aviation, and was a generous supporter of animal charities. "Uncle" Bill is sadly missed by his family, friends, and his best canine walking buddy "Belle." A memorial service will be held for family and close friends on the Flagler Beach Pier on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.
