Gail Richter Obituary
Gail Floyd Richter, 73, of DeLand, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was the widow of James A. Richter. Born in Schenectady, New York, she was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. J. Mitchell Floyd. She graduated from Hamden Hall and Stetson University. She was an artist, legal assistant and realtor. She was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church and belonged to the Blue Sage Chapter of the DeLand Garden Club. She tutored young people working towards their GED. She is survived by her sons Sean and Scott and five grandchildren, Vance, Carter, Martha, Brendan and Galen. She is preceded in death by her brother, Bruce Floyd. The visitation will be held on Friday the 11th from 6pm - 8 pm at Lankford Funeral Home in DeLand. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 3 pm at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in DeLand. My dear Heart-sister, How can it be three years when I still feel you so close? How can it be three years when at times my heart still hurts so deeply?
