Anastasia Balkun Linkovich, 91, of DeLand, passed away July 15, 2012 in the Florida Hospital, DeLand. She was born March 4, 1921 in Cromwell, Connecticut, and moved to DeLand from Winsted, Connecticut in 1947. Mrs. Linkovich is predeceased by her beloved husband of 71 years, Ray Linkovich. They were founders of the family business Ray Linkovich Paving and Excavating and the original owners of Crows Bluff Marina. They were also charter members of the Orthodox Church of St. Stephen in Lake Mary. They were members of the Wally Byam Airstream Club and enjoyed many years of traveling in their Airstream. Survivors include son, David Linkovich of DeLand; daughter, Catherine Linkovich Darling and her husband Arthur of Crestview, FL; grandchildren, Paul Darling and his wife Tiffany of Arlington, TN and Rhonda Darling Pollard and her husband Michael of Waikoloa, Hawaii; and great-grandchildren, Quinton Darling, Kalen Darling, Brynne Darling and Ryland Darling, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends on July 20th from 9-10a.m. at the Allen-Summerhill Memorial Chapel in DeLand, with the service following at 10a.m. with Father Daniel Hickman officiating.
