Amaral F. Arthur, 67, passed away January 17, 2008 from a long illness at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach. Funeral Services will be held Friday, Feb 1. 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at The Epiphany Church, 201 Lafayette St. Port Orange. He was born in Fall River, Mass. to Antone and Lucy Amaral on February 28, 1939. He was a mason contractor for several years. He also was a building inspector in the Town of Dartmouth, Mass. and Chief Building official for six years until his retirement in Feb 2001. He enjoyed fishing. He leaves behind his wife, Mary of 47 years; four sons, Michael (Joyce), Dartmouth, Mass., Robert, Daytona Beach, Steven, Tampa and Christopher, Port Orange; and two grandchildren, Michael Scott and Courtney Amaral, Dartmouth, Mass.; and several nieces. He was predeceased by his parents and only brother, James. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations be made to the Diabetes Association or Halifax Medical Center Building Fund.
