Funeral service for Barbara Ann Markham, age 77, of Edgewater, who died Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia / Flagler, Edgewater, will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 7 at First Baptist Church, New Smyrna Beach, with Chaplain Don Shobert, Halifax Health Medical Center, Daytona Beach, officiating. Burial will follow in Sea Pines Memorial Gardens in Edgewater. Calling hours will be 7:00-9:00 p.m. Monday, May 6 at Settle-Wilder's New Smyrna Beach chapel. Born in Mavis, West Virginia, Mrs. Markham, a homemaker, moved to this area in 1990 from Smyrna, Tennessee. A member of First Baptist Church in New Smyrna Beach, she loved her family and church, and was a member of the Red Hats Society. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Richard; one daughter, Cindy Crockett (Tom); one son, Richard A. Markham (Sammye); four grandchildren, Ryan, Jared, Faith and Christian; one sister, Betty Adams (Mike); and one brother, David Nichols (Diana).
