Brian Gerard Gallagher, 53, of Daytona Beach, passed away Sunday November 17, 2013 after a brief battle with
cancer. Brian was born in New York City on May 22, 1960. He graduated from Spruce Creek High School in 1978. Brian worked for many years as production manager at Mid Florida Sportswear before striking out on his own in the construction industry that lead him to Arkansas. His heart was in Daytona Beach, however, and he eventually made his way back home. Brian enjoyed Nascar racing, fishing and the outdoors, but he especially loved the beach. Brian is survived by his son Bryan Gallagher; grandson Parker Gallagher; father and mother James and Lori Gallagher; brother Jim (Shari) Gallagher; sister MaryEllen (John) Koberg; ex-wife Patty (Gallagher) Borders, and many nieces and nephews. A memorial reception will be held Friday November 22 at Pelican Bay Country Club from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Halifax Health Hospice.
