CLARE RAYNOR Obituary

CLARE M. Raynor (nee Familton) of Port Orange, FL, passed away on Christmas Day, December 25th, 2010. Loving and beloved mother of Jeff Raynor (Carole Strohl), Nancy Morano (Matt), and Todd Raynor (Monica). Adoring grandmother of Mason and Dominic. Also left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Virginia Hroncich, Faye Thompson (Pete Hechler), and Sally Familton-Phelps (Lee Phelps); and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Clare was also a dear friend to many in the Crane Lakes community and to friends out-of-state. Clare was born October 4th, 1937 on Long Island, NY and later resided for almost 30 years in Northern Virginia before retiring as an Executive Secretary to Florida in 1999. She enjoyed morning walks on the beach, socializing with friends, traveling, reading to her grandchildren, listening/dancing to Elvis, a lucky slot-machine at the casinos, and cheering on her favorite football team the "Redskins". All who knew her will be forever touched by her love, kindness, wisdom and humor. A celebration of her life will be held at a later time to be announced by her family. Contributions in Clare's memory can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler Counties, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129. You may share your memories with her family at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.com She will be greatly missed - but heaven is the richer because of her.
