Funeral Services for Mrs. Cora Bell Smith, 91, Daytona Beach, who passed on Friday, February 8,
2011, will be 12 PM, Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at Allen Chapel AME Church, with Rev. Nathan Mugala, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Daytona Memorial Park North. Calling hours are from 6 - 8 PM, Friday (today, Feb. 15) at Allen Chapel AME Church and from 10:30 AM at the church on Saturday. She was born Cora Bell Haynes on Sept. 16, 1921 in Troy, AL to the late Clarence and Mattie Lou Haynes. She attended the former Campbell High School and Volusia County Community College (now Daytona State College). She met and married Fred Smith, Sr. on Sept. 8, 1937. To this union seven children were born. She was a member of Allen Chapel AME Church where she served as former President of Usher Board #2, Pulpit Aide Board, Y.B. Bruce Booster Club, Women's Missionary Society. She retired as a dietician with Volusia County School System. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, reading and fishing. Her other affiliations were: Zeta Amicae, Ruth Chapter #144 O.E.S. Mrs. Cora Bell leaves to cherish her memory, four sons: Freddie Smith (Linda), Palm Coast, Florida, Bobby Smith (Naomi), Charles L. Smith (Rosalyn), Sylvester Athan "KK" Smith; three daughters: Lola S. Moore (Rev. Jimmie), Dorothy S. Mitchell (Elvin "Tony", Sr.), Cynthia Bradley (Reverend Dr. David); grandchildren: Rev. Dr. Donnell J. Moore (Angela), Lynnette Morris (Brian), Beverly Smith, Kimberly Smith, Connie Hayes, Briana Robinson, Shawn Smith (Gwenda), Elvin Mitchell, III (Barbara), Jacquelyn Mitchell, Vaughn Mitchell (Sonja), Charles "CJ" Smith, Jr., Amanda Smith, Melissa Smith, Melinda Smith, David Bradley, Jr., Devin Bradley, Dante Bradley; 27 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
