I went to school in Fairborn with Dave and Carol. Dave played basketball and football in high school but was best known for being a kind and wonderful person. It was great seeing them at class reunions. Dave will be missed by all who knew him.

I also had the pleasure of working with Dave here at Fort Leavenworth for many years. A quiet guy with a great sense of humor; he would always greet me with "Leins, David V. from beautiful Daytona Beach, Florida!" My deepest sympathy to his family and friends for the loss of a great guy.
