Delmar J. Glock Jr., 55, went home to be with our Lord, on March 2, 2013. A memorial service celebrating his life will take place today (March 6, 2013), 1pm at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in South Daytona Beach, Florida. Del was born March 28, 1957 in Amelia Island to Rev. Delmar and Jessie Glock. He spent many of his younger years in Japan and Korea where his parents were Lutheran missionaries. Upon returning to the United States, Del graduated from Seabreeze High School in Daytona Beach, FL. He later married Linda Jacobs, and together they had four beautiful daughters that he cherished, and were the pride of his life. He worked as a manager for Boston Whaler, for many years, and then became business owner of "Hotel DelMar" in 1999. He loved playing the drums, listening to music, writing poetry, being outdoors, and spending time with his grand-children. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother Jessie Glock; four daughters: Stephanie (Shawn) Behrens, Irisa (Geoffrey) Staggers, Alisha (Keane) Hutchinson, and Katrina Glock; one brother: Jacob Glock; two sisters; Marie Glock and Melanie Barry; four grandchildren, Rowan, Hazel, Avalyn and Violet. He was preceded in death by father Delmar Sr, and his wife Linda. From his daughters, "Mushin" Daddy…no mind. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Cardwell Funeral Home. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.com
