Doris Latham Houser, 93, DeLand, died Sunday, June 17, 2012 at her residence. She was born February 20, 1919 in Liverpool, England to George Henry and Harriett Barton Latham. She and her late husband Edward moved to DeLand in 1995 from Cooper City, Florida. As a homemaker she took care of her family and home. She was very artistic and enjoyed quilting, crafts and ceramics. Doris spent many happy hours in her yard tending her flowers and trees. She was predeceased by her husband Edward and her son Buddy. Doris is survived by one daughter, Jeanne Williams of Herrin, Illinois; two sons- George (Katherine) Houser of DeBary, Florida; John (Catherine) Houser of Sugar Valley, Georgia; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life service will be 11 A.M. Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Plymouth Avenue Christian Church, 1101 E. Plymouth Ave, DeLand with Rev. Chuck Hassell officiating. Entombment was private at DeLand Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorial donations to Florida Hospital Hospice Care, 770 W. Granada Blvd., #304, Ormond Beach, FL 32174.
