Edwin Tenazas Raval, 49, of Houston, TX passed away unexpectedly on January 24, 2013 at his home. Edwin's parents Dr. Antonio Raval M.D. and Dr. Maria Florena Raval M.D. live in Palm Coast, FL. Visitation will be held on February 17, 2013 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast, 220 Palm Coast Pkwy, SW Palm Coast, FL. A visitation will also be held on February 18, 2013 at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 4600 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast from 10 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Inurnment will immediately follow. Edwin was born in Laoag City, Philippines. At the age of one his family moved to New York, then to Detroit, MI. In Michigan he attended and graduated High School in Bloomfield Hills then attended Northwood University, earning his Bachelors in Business Administration. Edwin was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity and International club. He went on to earn his Bachelor Degree in Computer Science from Wayne State University, earning a 4.0 GPA. Edwin was employed as a computer analysist for the EDS Corporation, Detroit, MI. Given the opportunity he moved to England for post graduate studies. He then returned to Michigan and a few short months ago relocated to Houston, TX. Edwin had a passion for playing sports. He enjoyed tennis, soccer, basketball, hunting, and fishing. He enjoyed the great outdoors. Edwin also competed in ballroom dancing; of which he earned many trophies, including two gold awards for the Waltz Across Texas Country Western Competition. He will be remembered for his love for education and his zest for life. Edwin is survived by his parents Dr. Antonio Raval M.D. and Dr. Maria Florena Raval M.D. of Palm Coast; brothers Dr. Jefferey Raval M.D. (Amy) of Colorado, Steven Raval of Colorado; sister Dr. Cynthia Raval McGovern DDS (John) of Massachusetts; nieces and nephews Julia, Joshua, Brendan, Mathew, and Sophia.
