LINVILLE, ELIZABETH- Elizabeth (Betty) Linville, 80, of Ormond Beach, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 20, 2013. She was born on October 13, 1932 in central city, Kentucky to Naomi and Warren Gentry. Betty was in insurance sales for most of her career. Upon retirement, she volunteered her time to help fund the creation of the Ponce Inlet Community Center. Betty served as President of the Ponce Inlet Community Center and President of the Ponce Inlet Lions Club. She was also a long time volunteer and chair of fund raising activities of the Florida Conklin Center for the Blind. Betty is survived by her husband Boyd Linville; two daughters, Susan Ervin (Bill), Desda Townsend (Curtis); and son David Buchanan (Sally); eight grandchildren, Billy Ervin (Tanya), Carrie Bennett (Cliff), Ryan Ervin (Jody), Matthew Ervin, Chris Townsend (Anne), Christina Bridgeman (Guy), Heather Buchanan (Billy) and Courtney Norris (Bobby); and twelve great grandchildren. Betty also leaves behind extended family members in Kentucky, Massachusetts and Arizona. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Tomoka United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tomoka United Methodist Church.
