Eric A. Bartley, 41, was carried to Valhalla by the Valkyries on Thursday, November 14th. His father Pete held a seat on Baldur's bench for him. They celebrate their reunion. Eric lead the life of a Gentleman Adventurer and a man of leisure. Previously he worked on the Pequod, a whaling vessel homed in Nantucket, and toiled for the betterment of humanity in the Utility Muffin Research Kitchen of Owensboro, KY. He had a passion for hunting, photography, the Music of Olivia Newton John, and busting the chops of others both on the internet and in person. He is survived by his mother Teresa Rice Bartley, his Grandmother Frances Rice, Of Edgewater, Florida, and his lady Jen Chapman, and her two children, Sean and Katryna of Louisville. No man was ever committed to living the life of a free man the way Eric was. He touched the lives of hundreds, and we mourn his passing. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a scholarship fund to benefit Sean and Katryna via paypal to ericbartleyscholarship@gmail.com A remembrance will be held at 3023 Hunsinger Lane, rear, in Louisville on Friday the 22nd at 7PM. No crying. Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Share your memories and photos of Eric A. Bartley at www.haleymcginnis.com.
