Helen Marie King Quaglia, was born on January 20, 1927, in Marion, Illinois, to Robert King and Joyce Bond. A long-time resident of Port Orange, Florida, she passed away August 8, 2013, at the age of 86. While living in Detroit, Michigan, Helen worked at Penn Central Railroad as a Traffic Controller. On retirement from the railroad she relocated to Port Orange, Florida, with her husband, Albert. An avid baseball fan, Helen seldom missed her days rooting for the Atlanta Braves and the Detroit Tigers, and evenings playing along side Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune contestants. Helen is survived by her sisters Mary Ola Kent and Deloris Jean Swan, and stepsons, Robert Lee Quaglia of Dallas, Texas, and William Alan Quaglia, of Franklin, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Albert Reno Quaglia. A celebration of Helen's life will be held at the Heritage Cremation and Memorial Chapel, 620 Dunlawton Avenue, Port Orange, Florida, on August 16, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations in Helen Quaglia's name may be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, National Processing Center, Post Office Box 1245, Albert Robert Lea, MN 56007-9976.
