James "Jimmy" Joseph Uber, 54, of Holly Hill, unexpectedly passed away March 4, 2013. Jimmy was born in Youngstown, Ohio. He vacationed in the Daytona Beach area with friends and fell in love with the beaches and the weather. Jimmy moved here permanently in 1979. Jimmy worked in the cleaning and janitorial business, which he truly enjoyed. He will be remembered for his love of people. When you made friends with Jimmy, it was a true friendship. His clients were also his friends, and he thought of them as family. Jimmy loved to cook and entertain, having parties for his friends and family. He had great talent as a decorator. His home was always well designed and full of his beautiful plants. Jimmy is survived by his mother Anna Uber of Ohio; his sisters Kathy Greene and Anna Marie Blough, also of Ohio. He will be sadly missed by his friend Jerry McCoy, who was like a brother to him. He is also survived by his niece Tanya Neff (fiancé Lou); and nephew Jason Neff (wife Shannon); and by his great nephews Ethan and Patrick; and great niece Madison. He is also missed by his beloved kitties Pokey and Mr. Fang. The family will hold a private service. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. Jimmy was a big part of our lives for many years. We are deeply saddened by his passing. His gregarious personality always drew people to him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Although I hadn't seen Jim in several years, I had the pleasure of working with him, and my mother and sister being two of his clients years ago.
He could light up a room, and fill it with laughter. Such a fun loving guy, and I possess only the fondest memories of Jim.
May he rest in peace, and again enjoy the company of my sister in the heavens above! Together, they were a force to be reckoned with... each with a natural sense of humor!
To family and friends, may you find comfort in his memory, and all of the good times shared. Peace <3

We knew him as Uncle Jimmy. He used to come over and clean our house, and would go to church with us. He was at both mine and my sister's first communion. He was always so happy and loved by the King family. He will be truly missed by all of us.
