Funeral service for Jean L. Webber, age 87, of New Smyrna Beach, who died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at her caregiver's home, will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Settle-Wilder's New Smyrna Beach chapel, with Pastors Jeremy and Michael Watson, officiating. Calling hours will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, February 1 at the funeral home. Born in South Bend, Indiana, Mrs. Webber moved to this area in 1954. She was a member of United Church of Christ in New Smyrna Beach, where she served as church secretary for 15 years. Mrs. Webber enjoyed bingo, bowling, traveling, and being a member of the cribbage club in New Smyrna Beach. Survivors include two sons, James and Terry Webber, both of New Smyrna Beach; one daughter, Laurie (Paul) Watson of Melbourne; two grandsons, Jeremy (Stephanie) Watson of Vero Beach, and Michael (Katie) Watson of Owosso, Michigan; and one great- granddaughter, Alex Jean of Vero Beach. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie E. Webber in 2007.
