Jimmy Dyer, age 57, passed the morning of Oct. 29, 2013. He was born in Shelby, North Carolina, graduated from Crest High School in 1974. He was awarded a full athletic Baseball scholarship to Wingate College. He moved his family to Winter Park, Florida in 1985. Jimmy was a perfectionist and was highly sought after for his beautiful work as a Tile & Marble Contractor. He and his wife Candice were married 35 years. Two children, Brandon & Liz Dyer. Daughter-in-law Heidi Dyer and future son-in-law Cody Collins. Three granddaughters, Sydnie, Kamdyn, and Alyna. Preceded in death by his Mother the late Joan Martin Dyer and survived by father, Lester Dyer of Shelby, N.C. Three brothers, Michael, Robin, David, and one sister, Wanda Fisher. Jimmy was loved by his father-in-law Bill Eaton and brother-in-law Chris Eaton, both of Shelby, N.C. and brother-in-law Randy Eaton of Orange Park, Florida. Jimmy requested that he be cremated and his ashes scattered in the ocean he loved. A celebration of his life will be held December 7th at Deer Brook, in Shelby, N.C.
