John Mark Davis, 59, New Smyrna Beach, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sept. 9, 2018 in Daytona Beach. He was born on Jan. 26, 1959 to John L. Davis and Cecelia G. Stover Davis in Philipsburg, PA. John started working as a young teen in his family business, Davis Lumber and Logging and continued with his own business, Davis Logging. He then got into the trucking business with Laurie and formed J & L Trucking. He moved to the area 15 years ago from Clearfield, PA and remained in the trucking industry for the duration of his career. John loved his family, fun times, fast cars, football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, eating at restaurants and shooting guns with his grandsons. He is survived by two daughters, Sheena (Fisayo) Ojo and Melanie Davis and his former wife, Laurie (Dave) Lansberry, all of New Smyrna Beach; one sister, Jane Davis of Clearfield, PA; one brother, Christopher (Lori) Davis of Irvona, PA; six grandchildren, Blake, Shay and Luke Graham, Morayo, Yeni and Tayo Ojo; two nephews, Christopher and Nicholas Davis; his uncle, Bill Davis and many cousins. Visitation will be from 1 PM until 4PM Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018 at Dudley Funeral Home, 1108 N. Dixie Freeway, New Smyrna Beach. Funeral service will be 11 AM Monday, Sept. 17, 2018 at Dudley Funeral Home, New Smyrna Beach. Burial will follow in Glencoe Geiger Cemetery, New Smyrna Beach.
