Jose "Pepin" Flores-Mauleon, of Deltona, FL passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, July 13, 2012; just after his 97th birthday. A memorial mass will be held at 11AM on Saturday, July 21, at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 26 Dogwood Tr. DeBary, FL. Interment will be in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Jose was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Jose Flores and Maria Mauleon, one of the oldest families in San Juan. He dedicated his talents as a carpenter for the Gem Retail Stores, and as a woodworking artist. This jovial, easygoing talented artist was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He was a San Juan historian, who loved his native music and dancing, creating masterpieces with his carvings, but most of all spending time with his family. His beloved wife of 51 years Mary Flores preceded him in death and he leaves behind two children: a son Luis E. Flores and a daughter, Carmen May; a granddaughter: Sheila (Steve) Delacerda; two great-grandchildren Adam and Paola; and a sister Angeles Flores.
