Joseph "Joe" Thomas Lynott, 76, of DeLand, FL passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 in Orange City, FL. Joe was born on June 22, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York and moved from Brooklyn, NY to Parkland, FL in 1979 then to DeLand, FL in 2004. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in DeLand, FL and a member of Local 28 (Union) in New York. He loved airplanes and nature. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Helen Lynott; sons, Joseph Lynott Jr. of Buffalo, KY; daughter, Charlene Villante of Joliet, IL; brother, David Lynott of Westbury, NY; sisters, Dorothy and Marion Farrell of Long Island, NY; and 3 grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held Monday, April 29, 2013 at 10:00 am to St. Peters Catholic Church in DeLand, FL with Father Tom Connery officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made at Hospice of Volusia/Flagler (3800 Woodbriar Trail Port Orange, FL 32129). Online condolences may be left at www.allensummerhillfuneralhome.com.
