Josephine Fauci, 90, of Port Orange, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2018 after a brief illness. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 20, 1927, a daughter to the late Pietro and Maria (Dell' Aria) Restivo. She graduated from Maxwell Taylor Vocational High School in 1945. After high school she worked briefly in an office on 42nd street in New York City. She learned quickly that office work was not for her. She liked to chat and meet with people. She was hired as a cashier for the A&P Super Market chain where she met and greeted people for 25 years. She always spoke with great fondness of those days. Josephine and her late husband James were married for 67 years. They relocated to Port Orange in October 1981 after retiring. They were founding members of Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church in Port Orange. Josephine is survived by her daughter, Therese, a Son Robert (Sherrie) and three sister's in-law, Frances, Phyllis, and Rose, three grandchildren Nicole, Jaclyn and Robert Scott, nine nieces and nephews and eighteen great nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 12th, from 4-7pm at the Lohman Funeral Home, 1201 Dunlawton Ave., Port Orange, followed by a Mass of Christian burial on Friday, April 13th, at l0:00am from Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Port Orange.
