Julius (Bud) Ross (79) passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2013. Bud was born in Phila, Pa on Jan 14, 1934 to the late Julius & Ida Ross. He moved to Port Orange in 1989 with his wife. After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Navy from Jan 1951 to Dec 1954. He served aboard a tanker during the Korean War and then a submarine for a while. He worked at the Philadelphia payment center for the Social Security Administration for 32 years. He started as a file clerk and retired as a module manager. He was on the board for Waterbridge HOA for 15 years, 13 as president. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of almost 50 years, Joan Ross of Port Orange, three children, Debra Ross of Grand Rapids, MI; William (Robin) of Escondido, CA, and David (Anna) of Tucson, AZ, five grandchildren Neil (Shelley), Toni (Phillip), Hilari, Nick & Lilly and two great-grandchildren Makinley & Owen. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home, Port Orange. Friends may call at Lohman's on Sunday, August 25, 2013 from 1 pm to 3 pm. Funeral service will be held at 3 pm.
