Lucy Mae Babcock Devine, 93, passed away peacefully in her sleep shortly before midnight on Wednesday, September 11th in Columbia, Missouri with her family at her side. Lucy was born in Avon-By-The-Sea, New Jersey on May 26, 1920 to James and Florence Babcock. Lucy graduated from Neptune High School in 1938 and married Dick Devine following his service in World War II in 1946. Lucy & Dick were blessed with their only son James in 1948 and lived in and around the Shrewsbury/ Long Branch area for 30 years. Following Dick's retirement in 1981 Lucy and Dick moved to Daytona Beach, FL. Lucy lived in the Pelican Bay community with her late husband Dick Devine (d.1994) and her late 2nd husband Bob Anderson (d.2008), until her failing health brought her closer to hear family in 2010. Lucy was an avid golfer, bridge player, and storyteller (especially when it came to her son Jim, and her grandchildren Zach, Josh, and Noah). She is preceded in death by her 2 husbands, and her only son Jim (d.2010). Lucy is survived by her niece Gail (Orlando, FL), her 3 grandchildren Zach (St. Paul, Minnesota), Josh (Columbia, Missouri), Noah (Columbia, MO/New Orleans, LA), and her 4 great-grandchildren Averie, Aaron, Addison, and James.
