Maria Kristina Theresa Carrasco-Hill, 45, passed away on May 11, 2013 at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House in Palm Coast, Florida, after a battle with cancer. She is reunited with her father, Julius Carrasco. Kristina, known as Krissie to family and friends, lived to help others. She would come to their aid at any hour of need, ready with a bright encouraging smile and fueled by a can-do attitude. Her enthusiasm was infectious. She used these special qualities as an active member of a number of organizations and clubs in Palm Coast and Flagler County. A frequent volunteer at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, she was involved in CHIRP (Christ Renews His Parish) and the Youth Group. At Santa Maria Del Mar, she was part of the Moms Group and the Michelle's Angels Cancer Support Group. Krissie was an instrumental planner for Vacation Bible School of both churches. In addition to church activities, Krissie volunteered at the Belle Terre Elementary Library and Girl Scouts. A childlike spirit, Krissie was curious by nature and drew joy from several hobbies. She loved taking trips to Disney World and SeaWorld. She was terrific at arts and crafts and completing jigsaw puzzles. She was also a master bargain hunter, often searching for the perfect gifts for loved ones. Her greatest passion was her family. Married for 17 years, Krissie and Alton had a wonderful, supportive relationship. Krissie was a devoted mother to Nicole, through whom she was involved in many local activities. Krissie is survived by her husband, Alton Hill; her daughter, Leana Nicole Hill; her mother, Leonor Carrasco; brother Stephen Carrasco; sister Judy Carrasco; brother-in-law Alvin Hill; and nephew Chance Carter.
