Mary Patricia Stearns
03/12/1943 - 06/24/2018
A Requiem Mass honoring the life of Mary Patricia Stearns, 75, of Flagler Beach, FL, who passed away on June 24, 2018 from complications related to Alzheimer's disease, will be held at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Jacksonville National Cemetery at a later date. She was born Mary Patricia, but was always called "Patsy," on March 12, 1943 at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York City to the late Albert and Florence (Delaney) Patoski. Both Florence and Albert trained, graduated and received their RN licenses from the nursing program at St. Vincent's. Mary traveled extensively as a younger woman, while raising two children and running several households. She found her true calling as a regional delivery manager for a national distribution company covering the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic areas of the U.S. She had friends in many cities as a result of her work travels. Mary moved to Flagler Beach in 1998 from St. Augustine, FL. She was a parishioner in good standing at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church. In later life she channeled her energies into gardening, crafting, sewing, quilting and knitting. Mary is survived by her son, Arthur Eugene Harris, Jr. of Hollywood, FL; daughter, Michelle Lee Harris of Flagler Beach, FL; brother, Richard S. Patoski of Marblehead, MA; sisters, Barbara Anne Stella of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Martha Patoski Lenahan of Philadelphia, PA, and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends near and far. "And the dust returns to the earth as it once was,and the life breath returns to God who gave it." ~ Ecclesiastes 12:7. Good-bye Mommy, we miss you so.
