Michael F. McLaughlin, 70, of Port Orange, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2013 at home after a short illness. A celebration of Michael's life will be held on Saturday, 3:00pm, September 7th, 2013 at the Lohman Funeral Home, Port Orange with a reception following the service. Michael was born on April 1, 1943 in Allentown, PA to Michael McLaughlin and Elizabeth Gianelli. Michael proudly served in U.S. Army and worked at the Pentagon. He graduated from Muhlenberg and Marywood colleges with a Masters in Social Work then continued his career working at Allentown State Hospital as a social worker in the 1970's. Michael was also an Executive Director of Catholic Social Services in Daytona Beach in the 1980's and he retired in 2010 from the American Motorcycle Institute/Wyotech as an Admissions Representative. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Karen Conord; Many cousins in Allentown, PA and Daytona Beach; and his Faithful companion Ricochet. Michael's Spirit will remain with all who ever had the privilege to know him. GO GATOR'S.
