Michael V. Zdanis, 67, of Edgewater, a machinist and former owner of Victor Experimental, Inc., Edgewater until 2001, died Sunday, August 4, 2013 at the Southeast Volusia Hospice Care Center, Edgewater. Mr. Zdanis was born in New Britain, CT and moved to the area in 1958 from his birthplace. He was also a machinist for Radon Corp., Port Orange before his retirement, was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Smyrna Beach and attended St. Gerard's Catholic Church, Edgewater. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Mary Ruth; three sons, Scott (Barbara) of New Smyrna Beach, William (Monica Surrency) of Port Orange and Jon (Lutcia) of Edgewater; two sisters, Louise Seng of Ormond Beach and Gwen Warmack of Oviedo; five grandchildren, Zachary, Kaitlin, Austin, Aasha and Kian; one great grandson, Kori and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor J. and Beatrice; his sister, Anne White and his brother-in-law, Steve White. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Smyrna Beach. Burial will follow in Sea Pines Memorial Gardens, Edgewater. Visitation will be from 5 PM until 8 PM Wednesday, August 7, 2013 with a Rosary recited at 7:30 PM at Dudley Funeral Home, 1108 N. Dixie Freeway, New Smyrna Beach.
