Michael W. Corradetti, Sr., 88, of Ormond Beach died on December 30, 2012 at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center. Formerly of Gibbstown, NJ survived by his wife of 65 years Angeline F. (Verdinelli) of Ormond Beach; son Michael Jr. and Kathleen of Brigantine, NJ. Predeceased by son Ernest V.; also survived by two granddaughters and three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Serving in World War II Michael entered the Merchant Marines in 1945 transporting troops and supplies to France and then served in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1946. Upon moving to Gibbstown he was employed by Mobil Oil Corporation in Paulsboro, NJ retiring in 1983 as a supervisor. Michael was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Lions Club International and the St. Michaels Mutual Club in Gibbstown, NJ. In 1983 Michael and Angeline moved to Big Pine Key, Florida then moving to Ormond Beach, Florida in early 2000. Michael was a kind and generous man always ready to offer a helping hand to anyone. He will be missed by many. Donations may be made in Michaels' name to "Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Foundation Center", 301 Memorial Medical Parkway, Daytona, FL 32117. Funeral service will be private for the convenience of the family.
