Ralph J. Price- Memorial service for Ralph J. Price, age 94, of New Smyrna Beach, who died Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/ Flagler, Edgewater, will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 29 at Settle-Wilder's New Smyrna Beach chapel. Calling hours will be Thursday from 12:00 noon until service time. Born in Wrightsville, Georgia, Mr. Price, a manufacturing sales representative, came to this area in 1972 from Atlanta, Georgia. He served as Quartermaster in the Army during World War II, was a member of Coastline Christian Church and American Legion Post 17, both in New Smyrna Beach, Elks Lodge 1557 in Edgewater, and enjoyed fishing. Mr. Price loved cooking on the grill, and his tasty steaks earned him the title of "Grillmeister" by those that knew him. Survivors include a son, Rick Price of Pine Lake, Georgia; a sister, Dorothy Dollar of Georgia; several nephews, nieces, and cousins "by the dozens". Mr. Price was preceded in death by two wives, Arneeta in 1992, and Bernice in 2004.
