Richard "Rich" Etenson, 56, of Port Orange, passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 at Halifax Hosp.- Port Orange after a long battle with an illness. Rich was bom on Sept. 15, 1956 in Philadelphia, PA to Howard & Jane Etenson and after their premature death he grew up with relatives in Willingboro, NJ. After serving in the U.S. Navy he enjoyed working on the Jersey Shore. He moved to Florida in 1985 and before becoming disabled he enjoyed cooking, designing and setting up restaurant kitchens. He met his wife Shelly in 1994 in Daytona Beach and they were married in 1999. Rich loved spending time with his wife and "kids" (pets), watching tv, boating, camping, listening to music and being with family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 13 yrs Shelly and a sister Helene Bloch, Pennsylvania. Additional survivors are mother-in-law Erla Mill, Florida; brothers & sisters-in-law Wayne & Cora Morgan, Washington; Stueart & Liane Mill, Florida; nieces Qiana Morgan, Florida, Stephanie Morgan, Washington, Heather Johnson, Florida, Aja Gaeth, Wisconsin; nephews Alan & Michael Bloch, Pennsylvania, Shawn Morgan, Washington; and 16 great nieces and nephews, Newlife Cremation & Funeral Chapel is in charge.
