Robert "Bob" C. Parks, 84, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away on July 11, 2012 at his home. A Visitation will be held Friday, July 20, 2012 9:00 am to 10:30 a.m., and Funeral Services will start at 10:30 a.m. at the Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast Chapel, 220 Palm Coast Pkwy SW. Interment will follow at the Daytona Memorial Park, 1425 Bellevue Ave., Daytona Beach; FL. Robert was born in New York, NY graduating from Morris High School, Bronx, NY. After graduation Bob enlisted in the Merchant Marines, serving from 1945 to 1947. During the Korean War he enlisted in the Army and served as Military Police Officer. He earned a Purple Heart and four Bronze Stars. After discharge, Bob attended Pace College, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, then a Master's Degree from the University of Denver. Bob had a successful career with the Criminal Justice Division of New York State's Supreme Court. After retirement Bob enjoyed the comforts of home and spending time with family and friends. He eagerly participated in Goju International Way of Life's chess club and its senior activities. He moved to Palm Coast in 2007 to be closer to his sister. Bobs' thirst for knowledge and his need for logical thinking will be remembered by all that knew him. Bob was preceded in death by his siblings Gertrude, Lillian, Catherine, and Leonard Parks, niece Gertrude, grandniece Karen and companion Jean. He is survived by his sister Elizabeth Brennan; brother-in-law James Williams; niece Catherine Pearson; grandnephew Marc; great-grandniece; and nephews Jazmine, Marcus, and Marc.
