Robert P. "Bob" Dupnik, 80 of Palm Coast, a gentle giant, and a man of great faith, passed into the arms of his savior on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House. Mr. Dupnik was born May 19, 1938, in Middletown CT., a son of Joseph & Mary Ewanowski Dupnik. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Germany for four years. He received the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award and was honorably discharged in 1960. Following his discharge, he worked for the State of Connecticut in the Road Department. After his retirement, he moved to South Florida to care for his parents and moved again in 2004 to Palm Coast to be close to his family. Bob was a member St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Italian American Social Club, Columbian Club and the Polish American Pulaski Club of Daytona Beach. Bob also enjoyed playing cards, bingo and dancing, with a special love for Polka dancing. He had a great love for animals, especially his buddy Toby. Bob, who had always had a kind word and thankful heart, will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his sweetheart and companion, Linda Maxwell; one daughter, Joann (Darren) Grasso, two grandchildren, Crystal (Chris) Roberts and Zachary Grasso; three great-grandchildren, Charlie, Addison and Avery; his uncle, George Fellegy; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Angela; son, Mark Dupnik, daughter, Marlene Dupnik and his brothers Joseph and Charles. Family and friends will be received July 19th at 10 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Parkway in Palm Coast, where a Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am. Inurnment will follow the Mass in the Church Columbarium. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made in Bob's name to the Polish American Pulaski Club of Daytona Beach, 3621 W International Speedway Blvd, Daytona Beach, FL 32124 Condolences may be sent to www.craigflaglerpalms.com
