Shirley Faulhaber, 86, of Port Orange, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2012 after a long illness. She is now home with Jesus, her Lord and Saviour. Born September 29, 1926 in Elyria, OH, she came to Florida in 1975. Before her retirement, she was an Assistant Deli Manager. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bernard Faulhaber of 44 years. Her sister Faye Calfee, OH, also preceded her in death. Shirley was a loving Mother and is survived by her four children, Carol Peters (husband Edgar), Florida, Mary Shaw (husband Ves), Ohio, Bernard Faulhaber, Jr. (wife Judy), Florida and Linda Ruffner (husband Robert), Florida. She was a cherished grandmother to six grandchildren, Ashley, Lisa, Kim, Dan, Krista, and Celesta; and the proud great grandmother to thirteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Sabo; and her brother, James Johnson, Ohio and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service in celebration of Shirley's life will be held on October 19, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Halifax Health Medical Center, France Tower Chapel, 303 N. Clyde Morris Blvd., Daytona Beach, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Shirley's memory to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129.
