Terry J. Byrnes, 82, of Palm Coast, FL, a retired teacher, coach, and Principal from Michigan Public School Systems, died February 12th, 2013. Terry was born in Michigan and served proudly as a submariner in the U.S. Navy on the USN Lionfish. He moved to Palm Coast 27 years ago and was a Supervisor at the Hammock Bridge for several years, was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, and the Irish American Social Club of Palm Coast. Terry leaves behind his wife, best friend, dance partner, and woman of his dreams, Diane S. Byrnes, after 60 years of wedded bliss. He will be sorely missed by his seven children with whom he shared his sense of humor, adventure, and zest for life: Shawn, Matt (Lori), Colleen, Erin Davies (John), Kelly Scallan (Joe), Kevin, and Rory. He also shared his love and wisdom with his grandchildren, Morgan, Shannon, Charles, Allie, George, Diane, Heather, Josh and Talon. Terry has two surviving brothers, Robert and Patrick; and his sister Virginia Zupan. A Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church on Saturday, February 23rd at 11 a.m.
